Somsay and his entire team were the epitome of the hospitality that the Laotian people are justifiably famous for. He was responsive, gracious and thoughtful. Somsay planned a 10 day customized trip for our family and every step was well-considered and helped us truly connect with local Laotian culture. I would recommend 110%.

We just completed our 15 day trip around Laos through Wander Loas, a local tour agency in Luang Prabang, owned by Mr Somsay. We tailored our trip through Mr Somsay from the Uk to focus on visiting nature, culture and scenery.
Mr Somsay booked all our hotels (in consultation with us), arranged all the transfers, high speed train journeys and internal flights, boats, cruises , waterfalls (which are breathtaking). Wherever we arrived there was always a car waiting for us and where needed a very knowledgeable guide. Mr Somsay was constantly checking that we had been picked up successfully and that we had arrived at our hotels.
At the end of our trip we were ferried across the Friendship Bridge from Vientiane into Thailand so we could fly from Udon Thani a cheaper option to get to Bangkok.
I did look to arrange the trip myself from the UK, but the services, knowledge and especially the price agreed with Mr Somsay, made it an easy decision to proceed through Wander Laos.

The operator is super reliable and easy to communicate with. They plan everything by transparent details and thinking from your shoes. They helped organise my trip from Vientiane to Luang Prabang – the itinerary is clearly communicated, the guide is so professional and considerate, any adjustment got asked by us during the trip got seriously considered. Felt lucky to meet these lovely people in Laos.

Somsay arranged a very memorable 3 days tour for me when I was in Luang Prabang. The tour down the Mekong river visiting Park Ou, Kuangsi Waterfalls was amazing. On the last day, Phet took me round the morning market, explaining all the food and history around the temples and Mount Phousi was very interesting! Thankful for the awesome trip!

If you’re going to do anything in Luang Prabang, it should be THIS tour with Wander Laos. I’m not joking – my experience was just so incredible!!

The tour guide, Somsay, is so knowledgeable and can speak English well. His intentions behind his company is to share local Lao culture and emphasize how bamboo is an important part of this.

You will learn how to weave with a local master weaver who truly is masterful in his craft. Then, you will cook a traditional Lao dish with his mom! They will explain what ingredients they use to create the dishes and you will cook alongside them. I also ate the food with Somsay the traditional way – WITH YOUR HANDS! And he was lovely to talk to. The lunch follows up with traditional Hmong dance and music. Then, off to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls!!!

This was just such a perfect day and such an amazing tour guide!!! Somsay’s passions for Lao culture and supporting local people really showed during this tour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Sai was incredibly helpful and gave us an unforgettable experience. He made sure we had a great time in Luang Prabang and went above and beyond for us. We loved this experience!

This tour was seriously amazing and exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide Sai was very friendly and funny and worked really hard to make sure we were having a good time and had everything we needed. He has lots of knowledge and love for his country and it was an honor to talk with him and learn more about Laos and how people live. The sunset cruise was on a beautiful wooden long boat with tasty snacks and Lao beer and then Sai took us to a hot pot dinner at a place with deliciously fresh food and is quite popular with locals. Would definitely recommend this tour with Sai or any other tour he offers. Great for families, couples, friends, or solo.
